Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA)
UNC Charlotte’s student chapter of the American Society for Precision Engineering (ASPE) is providing two research awards to undergraduates (individuals or teams) participating in projects affiliated with precision engineering. The Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA) for the academic year 2007-2008 consists of:
- $180 cash prize for each of the winning project
The cash prize for each project will be awarded in March pending advisor’s approval.
Recipient Commitment
The USRA recipient is expected to fulfill the following criteria during the academic year of 2007 - 2008:
Submit project summary in 500 words or less by March 22, 2008 to the student chapter of ASPE.
- Suitable projects will be evaluated and two awards given by the end of March 2008.
- Upon receiving the USRA award, the project team will orally present the finalized project and results to the student body of ASPE at the end of the spring semester on April 30, 2008.
USRA Application
Interested students are encouraged to complete the USRA application form and submit it to the ASPE mailbox in the Center for Precision Metrology office, DUKE-161 of the Duke Centenial building.
