The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is home to the first, and currently the only, student chapter of the American Society for Precision Engineering (ASPE). The ASPE is a multidisciplinary professional and technical society concerned with research and development, design, manufacture and measurement of high precision components and systems. Our group is comprised of students from a variety of backgrounds - mechanical and electrical engineering, instrumentation, optical and production engineering, physics, chemistry, computer and materials science.
